Hello all, here's hoping you had a great weekend and are doing well! I'm sure you have been keeping up with the news reports of the spread of COVID-19 and the most recent mandate from Governor Kay Ivey to shelter in place through April 17th. Our executive team and board of directors is very concerned as you are about this health pandemic, however, we don't have any concrete answers about when practices can resume or concerts for that matter. As of this writing (3/29), the Memorial Day Concerts have been either cancelled or postponed. We are also awaiting official word from the City of Fairhope regarding the 4th of July celebration and concert / fireworks. Please know that we are monitoring the health crisis and our top priority is the health and safety of our band members. Please keep practicing your instruments during this time. We may be able to work out a plan to get you your folders and send audio links so you can at least be familiar with the music should we be able to resume as normal sooner. As soon as we see an end to this, an updated rehearsal / performance schedule will be released. I have heard from a few of you about how you miss practicing and playing together. We have a wonderful community band and I miss seeing and hearing you as well.
Take care of yourselves. I hope to have better news for you soon. Kenny

Hello...As you can imagine with the COVID-19 concerns, Unitarian Church has cancelled services so we will have to postpone our scheduled recitals that were to be this Sunday afternoon. We will more than likely reschedule these in August following the July 4th Concert. More information will be available closer to time. Thank you, and stay safe! Kenny
Happy Friday the 13th! Hope everyone is doing well...
The board of directors met last evening and we have set the next series of rehearsals for the May 25th concert in Fairhope and June 7th concert in Foley. They will be held at RHS Bandroom, 7 - 9 p.m. April 21, 28, May 5, 12, and 19; and if needed, June 2. The board and percussion will be responsible for refreshments at the April 21st rehearsal. I will send out a reminder closer to time. Again, thank you for your support of The Baldwin Pops. Stay safe out there. Kenny |
