Hello all...here's hoping you are well and ready for some fall concerts! Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 7th @ 7 p.m. at Robertsdale High School's Band Room. At this time, we are not required to wear masks, but are encouraged to social distance as much as possible. Remember, if you feel ill or are running a fever, please stay home. Rehearsals continue 9/14, 9/21 & 9/28 leading up to our concert October 3rd @ 6 p.m. at Fairhope's Henry George Park for Founder's Day. Then, we'll have a follow-up concert October 17th @ 5 p.m. at the Orange Beach Art Center. Both are outside venues, so wear your red band polo shirts. I have a limited supply of larges, mediums and smalls, so if you're not planning on participating in the fall concerts and have an x-large, 2x or 3x that you can pass along please let me know. At this time, you are encouraged to bring your own refreshments for break time. We'll provide bottled water at the concerts.
Your band's board of directors met Tuesday evening to approve the 2021-2022 concert season and other matters of business. Natalie Woodrow expressed interest in taking the librarian duties and we discussed fundraising options. I'll post minutes of the meeting when they become available.
If you are a business owner or if you know a business that would like to donate to the Baldwin Pops, please let me know. Baldwin Pops, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization and can provide you or your local contact with tax-deductible donation verification. Also, when you shop on-line at Amazon.com, you can select Baldwin Pops as a recipient of Amazon Smile funds. It's easy to do and helps your band at the same time!
I look forward to seeing you at rehearsals. Remember, if you have not paid your 2021-2022 dues yet, you can do so in September. See you later!
